Bala Lite

For pastors and leaders who love Christ and want to see the gospel at work in people’s lives.

 • 15-17 June 2020 (9.30am - 12.30pm daily)

 • Online and free of charge

Main speakers - Andy Christofides, Jonathan Thomas, Andy Pitt and Phil Swann

As we're online this year we've opened Bala to Pastors, Church Leaders and Pastors' Wives.

Although online this year, we pray that Bala will continue to be a pastoral conference where our aim is not to offer ministry in a vacuum. There is a reality to the conference – a spiritual reality where we earnestly seek God, but also a practical reality where the men aim to support and serve each other in an ongoing capacity throughout the year. We'll make every effort to be practical and helpful to the situation we find ourselves in Wales, with our speakers this year coming from, and reflecting a true understanding of the culture and communities of Wales. The programme will be split between preaching sessions, prayer times and three papers on specific subjects all enveloped in an atmosphere of worship and total dependence on God.

It is only a few days until the BalaLite online conference. This email is to give the latest information and to assure you of a warm welcome if you join us. As I'm currently homeschooling the kids - we had an IT lesson this morning and produced a video to give you three reasons why you should join us!

The full details are on the website, but here are a few answers to some common questions we've received.

Thanks,

Steffan (on behalf of the organising team)

What is happening?

Each morning is split into two main sessions with smaller, optional sessions between them. The day will start (9.30am) with a video, some book interviews and a short interview with a member of a key public service (Police, NHS, Educatio) where they will give some insights into how we can support and reach people. Andy Christofides will then speak (9.45am) at our main session on 'Our glorious cross centred ministry'. There will then be a half hour break where you can take a rest or join an optional prayer meeting in a breakout room on Zoom. The final session of the day will be interactive and deal with a specific element of ministry every day - Preaching, Mission and Pastoring. These sessions will include a half hour primer and then a discussion in breakout rooms.

When is it taking place?

 • 9.30am-12.00 am.

 • Monday - Wednesday

 • 15-17 June

Who can come?

As we're online this year we've opened Bala to Pastors, Church Leaders and Pastors' Wives.

Will you be recording and can we dip in and out?

Many have been in touch to ask if we are going to release the sessions after the conference and to know if they can 'dip in and out' of the conference. The answer to both questions is 'Yes'. The videos of the sessions (not the discussions) will be made available in the afternoon on our website. We're aware that people are very busy, and although we would encourage attendees to partake in as much of the conference as possible, we're more than happy for people to join some sessions live and miss others (or watch them after the event).

How do I listen and take part?

You will need to register for the conference. An email will be sent to you before the first session giving the link to the meetings. You can register below.
